When using RentMagic it is important to go through all modules within the Settings section. In particular, the System settings are important to set correctly at the start. Some of the settings relate to the operation of the system and cannot be changed at a later date. The settings are intended for the administrator of RentMagic and should perhaps not be made accessible to everyone if you work with multiple users.
In addition to just settings, there are also modules that are used to set up master data, such as VAT, periods, and so on. It is desirable to also record all this information in advance before you start working with RentMagic. All the different modules are explained in this manual. Of course it is always possible to contact your RentMagic partner if you cannot find an answer.
In this module you can manage users of the system. Users are persons who can log into the system, but they can also be users for a possible frontend, for example a webshop.
Roles and permissions
In this module you can manage the different roles that are used within the system.
Tokens must be used for links with other software via REST API.
Report and e-mail
In this module you can manage report templates. You need a report template to generate reports throughout the system.
Setting up email templates is very important. In this module you can organize the email templates the way you want the emails to be sent to the customer.
In this module you can view and delete all sent e-mails. After the system sends an email automatically, a copy of it is automatically kept in the email history.
When trading is conducted, one must also always take VAT into account. There are sufficient options within RentMagic to keep the administration of the VAT correct. RentMagic is also provided to conduct international trade, with all the associated possibilities to capture VAT
For international trade it is possible to set VAT obligations, an extension of the VAT rate that you set on the article.

In this module you can edit document counters and key formats on tables.
In this module you can setup all transaction types.

In this module you can set up all dimensions that are used within the rental process.

In this module you manage all delivery methods used within the rental process, especially the shipment of items.
In this module you manage all payment methods that can be used to pay orders and / or invoices.
In this module you manage all the replacement reasons that may exist when changing a serial number.
In this module you manage all labels that can be used on a customer card and on an item card. Labels are used informatively to indicate an identification.
In this module you can manage all currencies to be used that can be applied within RentMagic. Different currencies can be used within the process as well as on reports.
